The Blueair 402 Air Purifier is rated for larger rooms up to 365 sq feet. Now how they arrived at such an odd number is a bit curious, so I suppose that if your room is a a little above that 365 number, I don't see it as being that big of a problem. Bear in mind that a 10 foot by 10 foot area is 100 sq feet.
Removes a Full 99.97% Of All Suspended Air Particles
This unit incorporates 2-stage HEPASilent technology that has been proven to remove a full 99.97% of all suspended air particles as small as 0.1 micron. This would include dust mites, mold spores, pet dander and allergic reaction inducing plant pollen particles.
Two Stage System Uses Filters and Ionic Charge
Even so, some finer particles can be missed by by a hepafilter alone and this is where the electrostatic charge is employed in the system. Microscopic particles are passed through an ion chamber, to receive a very slight actual electro-static charge. This results in them being actually attracted to the filter.
